The impact of Brexit on young people will be debated next week (Friday 17th November) at a forum organised by Norwich YAB and featuring local MPs Chloe Smith and Clive Lewis.
Discussions will include; how Brexit affects young people, what young people’s hopes are around Brexit and what they think should be prioritised in a Brexit deal. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A with Clive Lewis and Chloe Smith around Brexit and wider issues affecting young people.
Jess Barnard Senior Youth Worker at MAP who is co-ordinating the event with the Norwich YAB, said “This is a great opportunity for young people to share their views with other young people and with two local and influential MPs. Voting patterns show that a high percentage of young people voted to Remain so, given that they did not get the result they hoped for, it is more important than ever that they have a say in what a post-Brexit future looks like.”
The event takes place on Friday 17th November 6 – 8pm at The Garage, Chapelfield Road, Norwich, NR2 1NY. It is free and open to all 11 – 25 year olds, but places must be booked via Eventbrite.
