Norwich solicitors Hatch Brenner have launched their Christmas Appeal for 2017, with a creative Twitter campaign #secretsantagiving in support of MAP. Instead of buying a Secret Santa gift for their colleagues, the firm are suggesting that staff donate the equivalent money to MAP.
Caroline Billings, Hatch Brenner Partner and MAP Trustee commented: “Our staff were really keen to support MAP this Christmas, and suggested Secret Santa gift giving; instead of buying each other a small gift, we are going to pledge to give £5 to MAP instead. It’s a simple, alternative way to raise money that is really going to make a difference. The firm has also pledged to match fund the total raised. As a Trustee of MAP, I see first hand the work they do directly benefiting so many young people in our region.”
Hatch Brenner has also produced their 2017 Christmas card in conjunction with MAP, and will be including a postcard with each card sent giving more information about the services we offer. Throughout December there will be collection pots in the Hatch Brenner reception areas for clients, friends and contacts who would also like to show their support for MAP.
Katy Jones, MAP Fundraising Officer added: “The festive period can be a particularly difficult time for young people who may feel at odds with the images of idyllic family life portrayed by the media if they themselves are struggling. We would love other organisations to follow the lead of Hatch Brenner and pledge to donate their ‘Secret Santa’ money to MAP. The funds raised will help support young people through our drop-in centres in Norwich and Great Yarmouth as well as in schools, community venues and through outreach activities across Norfolk.”
