MAP at Norwich Pride 2019

This month, MAP has been doing loads to celebrate and educate while we get ready for Norfolk’s biggest pride on 30th July. We went into schools and spoke about the importance of pride, and encouraged young people to express themselves by colouring in Norwich Pride Schools Week’s stunning posters.

We’ve also got lots of groups who do work relating to LGBT+ issues all year round including the Young Activist Network, Youth Advisory Boards and of course Evolve who are MAP’s group for young trans, non-binary, and gender questioning young people.

The Youth Advisory Boards support work all over Norfolk to meet the needs of young people in their area. We’re delighted to announce that the North Norfolk Youth Advisory Board has voted this week to fund ten schools around Norfolk to achieve the Norfolk LGBT+ Project’s Educating With Pride award.

Find Us On The Day

During Norwich Pride on 30th July you’ll be able to find us at the MAP stall in The Forum . We’ll be there all day sharing information about our free, confidential services for young people aged 11-25 including advice, counselling and youth work. If you don’t manage to catch us on the day, you can always drop in and see us at one of our drop-in centres. You can find details of how to drop in or get in touch here.
