Relationships, sex and sexual health

We know that it can be difficult to talk about sex and relationships, sexual identity or sexual health. Our counsellors, advice workers and youth workers are highly trained and experienced and won’t be embarrassed or judge you for things you tell us. All our services are confidential.    We give you support so that relationships and sex can be pleasurable, consensual and healthy. We issue c-cards, provide free male and female condoms, dams and lubricant. We offer free pregnancy testing, STI testing including chlamydia and gonorrhea testing. You can talk to us about:

  • Fancying boys, girls, or both
  • How STIs travel, how to know if you have one, or what would happen if you did
  • Feelings about your gender
  • Masturbation (self pleasuring) and the importance of imagination
  • Pleasurable sex and intimacy (and support if you’ve had negative sexual experiences)
  • How your body works
  • The impact of alcohol or drugs on sex
  • Being pregnant – your choices
  • Relationship problems, such as arguments or poor communication
  • Fantasies, or thoughts you have about sex
  • Body image
  • Sexism
  • Homophobia, transphobia and heteronormativity
  • Hate crime
  • Pornography
  • Sexting and texting

Where and when?  If you need advice and information you can drop-in, ring or email our Norwich Centre or Great Yarmouth Centre. We also do lunch time drop-ins and run PSHE classes in over 40 schools and colleges across Norfolk.  Check here whether MAP is working in your school.
