Young@Arts Festival

Young@Arts is a FREE creative arts festival, organised by and for young people aged 11-19 in Great Yarmouth.

This festival has been created by young people for young people. The desire for more young people focused arts – particularly in the holidays – was identified through the Youth Advisory Board consultation.

The festival is led by MAP, in partnership with many local organisations bridging the gap between the world of arts and young people in Great Yarmouth. Young People are given the opportunity to experience arts and creative industries, a chance to gain confidence in trying out something new and creative. The myriad of workshops were chosen by young people who commissioned local agencies, artists and venues to facilitate. Plus, participants get to continue and develop their interests at MAP, who run a series of workshops after the festival.

And with a fantastic response to last year’s festival – we are returning for our second year in 2019. On the 23rd & 24th of October; The festival will take place across 11 venues in central Great Yarmouth.

Alongside live music and chill-out spaces there will be workshops that include something for everyone: circus skills, pottery, creative writing, art, dancing, drama, learning an instrument and so much more… If you would like to take part or get involved you can download this years brochures which lists all details about the festival HERE or check our our Facebook events pages HERE

Young@Arts Festival is supported by MAP and funded by the National Lottery Fund and the Department for Digital, Culture Media and Sport
