Want to inspire change in your local area, build social skills and help a wide community? Broadland YAB might be for you!
Broadland YAB is a group for young people (11-25) who live or study in Broadland, Norfolk. They work with professionals in the community to ensure that young people have a say in decisions that affect them. The YAB also produce an annual Action Plan, laying out all the things they hope to achieve that year. They meet on Tuesdays at Carrowbreck House, 5 - 6:30 pm.
The group puts on lots of events each year, such as Positive Minds Mental Health Fair and the NYAB anti-bullying conference, as well as taking part in fun trips and residentials to work on team building and leadership. They are also involved in 'Everybody has the Right to Play', a national campaign with the purpose of making play parks accessible and inclusive for all.
The YAB has helped me discover myself and have more confidence with talking to new people.
The YAB is such a lovely place to be, everyone is lovely.
The youth workers are superstars.
