Young people in Norfolk are leading a campaign to make playgrounds inclusive for all. We believe that play spaces should be accessible to all, regardless of ability or disability, so that families and friends with different access needs can play alongside each other in public spaces.
Our aims
After months of research, educational trips, and listening to first-hand experiences, we've launched our Right To Play Pledge. We hope that organisations, businesses, and institutions will join us in making the following commitment...
We pledge to make all our play areas accessible, inclusive, and safe environments that challenge, excite, stimulate and promote the interaction of all young people of all abilities.
By signing our Right to Play Pledge, you'll be one of many organsations across Norfolk who are committed to thinking inclusively when it comes to playgrounds. If you're involved in building or commissioning playgrounds, you'll be part of a network of organisations committed to creating inclusive spaces, where young people, their friends and family can all play alongside eachother with ease. Sign the pledge and commit to providing inclusive parks and play equipment in all future projects.
Flourish Awards 2024
We are excited to announce that the Right to Play campaign was awarded a 2024 Flourish Award. The Flourish Awards recognize outstanding contributions made towards enabling Norfolk's children and young people to live their best lives.
Get in touch
If you would like an informal conversation about the Right to Play Pledge, and the support available for businesses and other organisations, please do get in touch. We can support you as an organisation to make the most of your commitment to the campaign, and even offer practical support around approaching an organisation you think would be open to signing the pledge.
