Who are we?
We are young people who live or study in Norwich, Norfolk.
Each year we ask young people in Norwich about the issues that matter to them.
We then take action through campaigning, lobbying, advocacy, hosting events and commissioning services.
We work with adult professionals in our community to ensure that young people have a say in decisions that affect them.
Want your voice heard?
Want to make a difference?
The YAB is open to all young people aged 11-19 (up to 25 with a disability) who live or study in Norwich.
Members of the YAB are called Young Commissioners.
We meet regularly, and work together to make a positive difference in our communities.
Young Commissioners can take part in training, attend residentials, and have the opportunity to meet other young people and make new friends. There is never any cost, and food and transport is provided.
We are continuing to work primarily online by delivering remote group sessions and one-to-one support, and creating additional resources for young people. Some face to face to work is starting to return. Please get in touch to find out more.
Youth workers Jess and Lizzy are still on hand to support young people and plan for the future.
Campaigning for Change
We hold weekly Campaign Group meetings which shape our campaigns to make change in our local communities.
We’re currently campaigning on youth homelessness and housing issues in Norwich.
Young Commissioners have the opportunity to attend free residential trips.
Over the past two years we have visited Brussels, Leeds, and Berlin, and hosted a residential for all young people in Norwich at Eaton Vale.
