Mental health support for young people taking steps towards employment
Building UP is a personalised package of mental health and wellbeing support designed to address key barriers into employment. Through this scheme, MAP can offer advice and support to young people who aim to find employment but are facing mental health difficulties that makes this a challenge.
We can support you with:
- Managing sleep issues
- Creating a daily routine
- Developing strategies to reduce anxiety and/or low mood
- Adapting to new life changes
- Anything else that may be stopping you from moving forwards
Who is Building UP for?
Building UP is a package of support for young people aged 18-25 who are living in the Greater Norwich area. If you’re interested in receiving Build Me UP support, you can either self-refer by emailing [email protected] or ask a professional to support you to self-refer.
What happens next?
Once you've been referred:
- A MAP Mental Health Adviser will contact you to introduce themselves and book in appointments.
- Your Mental Health Adviser will offer you 3 appointments to work on areas of your life that you’d like to focus on.
- Follow on support is available via MAP's Mental Health Advice drop-in service.
- If you’d like specialist employment coaching, including support to secure a job and in-work support, we can refer you to our UP+ Employment Service.
