Everyone Has The Right To Play: The ground-breaking, youth-led disability campaign that is growing by the day...

Young people from both Norwich and Great Yarmouth have joined the call to make play areas more inclusive, calling on local politicians, professionals and community members to join the campaign and commit to building inclusive play equipment.
This is an issue that affects children around the country, not just in Norwich, not just in Norfolk. So, I'd like to take this fantastic piece of work and make it go national.
We heard from young people and their parents affected by inaccessible play areas in Norfolk, and appealed to councillors, MPs and other community leaders in the audience to make accessibility their top priority when commissioning play equipment locally.
Norwich MPs Clive Lewis and Alice Macdonald both expressed their support for the campaign at the Norwich launch event. Clive Lewis spoke with MAP at the event, saying ‘There are so many playgrounds around the city, around the county, and around the country that just aren't suitable for everyone. Playgrounds should be for everyone.’
The campaign calls for business leaders, community members, and elected representatives alike to sign the ‘Right to Play Pledge’, as well as calling for a full review of all play areas in Norfolk.
You can support the campaign by signing the pledge, and lobbying your elected representatives and anyone else involved in the commissioning of play areas to do the same.
