MAP takes a holistic approach to tackling loneliness, and we have a wide selection of services to help young people who are experiencing it.
We support young people through our mental health services, but we also offer a range of youth groups where young people can meet each other in a relaxed environment. This means that they can work with mental health advisers to tackle anxious behaviours, improve confidence and make new friends.
At MAP, we offer mentoring sessions in many schools where young people can talk through friendship problems, or if they're feeling lonely or isolated.
Our Dungeons & Dragons group is a space where you can escape into a world of fantasy, talk about your experiences with mental health services, and work together to improve those services for other young people.
Level Up is organised annually with the specific aim of tackling loneliness and bringing young people together during the easter break, and is organised by young people from Great Yarmouth YAB.
If you’re feeling isolated, need something to do, or just want to meet some other young people, there are lots of groups at MAP that you can join, and you can find out more on our Activities and Groups page.
